December - Christmas is upon us...

I'd love to share some words of wisdom, however, it's late and i'll just begin my procrastination of a later post on that.

Anyway, it seems that this year is a year of travelling. It looks like the trip to Fraser's was not meant to be. So yeah, don't really remember what we did instead.

What i DO know is that we went to Ipoh for a day trip in September for a day trip as i had work there and then we went to JB/Singapore in September/October for a few of days, also because of work. The problem with the latter trip was that the air-conditioning on my Xantia gave up halfway to JB and to compound the heat, it was rainy. I had only fixed it a couple of weeks prior to the journey but it wasn't a complete fix as the mechanic had informed me that it may not have solved the problem. He's trying to narrow down the possibilities. Anyway, we survived the trip and managed to spend minimally.

We also went to Chendering, at the end of November as i had taken a long leave in an effort to clear it by year's end. So we headed for Ladang MCare. The place is quite nice, barring mosquitoes, which were a great many. We're thankful to the hosts for allowing us to spend time there to learn a bit more of what they actually do there. I'm sure they're in need of a lot of help - labour to assist in cleaning up and clearing, maintaining as well as monetary assistance. They have space to fit up to a max of 30 people at a squeeze. It is NOT a retreat. Please don't treat it as a halfway house. Do help by volunteering your expertise there.

Next week, we're headed for Krabi! Will update on it after we're back!

Just in case i'm too "busy" to post, a very Merry and Blessed Christmas to all and a Happy New Year. Do take time to reflect on significance of the BIRTH OF CHRIST while celebrating this joyous occasion.

Also, HAPPY 2nd Birthday EMMA! You're TWO years old! We're proud of you and we LOVE you very much! You're growing up to be such a wonderful young lady! We thank God for bringing you into our lives!

Break...

A break is coming up. Looking forward to it! Family time!

So, since my boss has been away the past week, it'll be my turn to take a break. I hope to be able to take breaks every month. After all, i've got plenty of leave to go. Every month i wrack up at least a couple more days of leave on top of my Annual Leave. So, i have to clear it all before the year ends.

This weekend, we'll be going to Fraser's. A bit last minute as we have something on on Saturday afternoon. It'll be my first trip there in recent memory. Actually, in any memory at all since i have absolutely no recollection of having been there before although my parents beg to differ. So, here's to hoping there's cool weather.

BTW, i'm supposed to buy this manuka honey. No idea whatsoever about where to get it. Heard it'll coz upwards of RM100 for something like 1 litre? Don't know anything about it but based on my searches, sure sounds like just another direct selling gimmick. I should know, i've been suckered into several direct selling things... Let's just say, there's no free lunch ya? Everything is hard work.

New week, new phone... woohoo...

Last Friday we had a dinner with extended family. Since we were early dropped by the handphone fair in 3TWO Square for the second time this year. Took a quick look around as i needed to replace my phone already. Had a look at LG phones and loved one but it was too expensive. Finally set my eyes on the GM200 or some model like that. I'm not that handphone savvy anyway. It has a excellent sound system (2.1ch) and it is a 3G phone (as if i need one). Best of all, it's only RM320. I haggled a bit and got it for RM300! So yeah! New phone! Nice... been playing with it the whole weekend and enjoying the sound. Battery lasts quite a bit if you're not too hard on the music. But so far. it's been 3 days of music and well, i've got 1 bar left as of lunch time.

The weekend was a blast. JonJoy and Sara were here from downunder! So we had a good outing time together. The girls got their girl time while the two guys just babysat 5 KIDS!!! YEOWCH! Daniel was spared the joyful agony since he was having the time of his life on a missions trip. We will be visiting them in Melbourne next year though. So, see you guys la!

The kids then had a birthday party to attend. It was Carmen's birthday on Saturday and we all went to warm up the new house that Joann and Stephen got. Nice bungalow in Damansara Heights - it's got a pool too albeit a small one.

My Birthday yesterday!!!

It was great being with the family yesterday. We were supposed to like do a lot of outdoorsy stuff but ended up being in our most favourite, typical city people, past times.... SHOPPING!

So yeah, there we were in MidValley Megamall, walki
ng aimlessly. We wanted to catch a movie but was worried that the sleeping baby would awake midway (worse still if it was the moment we stepped in). So, that idea went out the window there and then since we couldn't get the timing right.

We ended up with AceHardware to take a look around. Picked up some stuff and then as we were leaving J shouted!

It seems, E had lost a shoe while we were walking. So off we went on the treasure hunt! or rather, shoe hunt. Up and down the aisles we went looking around and below all the shelving and stuff. No hope there. We paid for the items and retraced our steps - still no shoe. Well, whatever, not as though the shoe was very expensive.

So much for shoes anyways. Whenever we see one side of child's shoe anywhere, we've always wondered how it can happen that parents are unable to notice it. Well, now we know!

It was a pleasant birthday outing for us. We ended up spending a fair bit as we bought a new stroller for the children. The other 2 strollers we have are at their life's end. One being slightly older than J and the other having been through thick and thin in and worse in a plane's cargo hold... GONER! So a new one it is. This is it...

Yeah, this is the EXACT colour we bought it! The wheels are really smooth as is the turning wheels. Adjustable handles too to suit height. Which is good for me. Folding it is relatively easy. Take a bit of getting used to but it can certainly fold really flat. This will be good for our Melbourne trip. That was among the points of consideration when we bought it.

In the seventh semester...

I declare that, "IT IS FINISHED!!!" and I rested.

My course is over... well almost... i do have one pending paper to finish but otherwise my course is done! I've completed the final exam and obtained my results... with great surprise but PRAISE THE LORD!!!

It is such a relief. I do have one final hurdle. According to MIM, my business communications SUCK. Therefore, I have to take the examination for it. I mean, who the heck can submit a 3-4 page appeal as to why he doesn't need to take the paper and receive a short, curt answer of "NO" verbally. I guess that my communication skills were not that effective after all compared to MIM's answer.

Exams...

Well, the exams are almost over... just one more paper to go. This course is taking a toll on the family and i am running out of steam. The motivation is just not as strong anymore. I've gotten complacent once again. I'm beginning to question what i'm trying to prove here. And here I am studying about motivational theories.
